The Curtain Collective: Julie's Lounge

Have a look at this transformation. Julie had been eager for new curtains for a while - and when her husband agreed that new curtains wouldn't be a bad idea she had been on the look-out for fabric ever since.

Julie was sure she had sourced the perfect fabric until we showed her a few more.. and spurred her confidence to choose something a little bolder in colour in order to avoid fabrics with a background colour that would cause them to blend in with the colour of the walls. Her husband Marcus loved the idea of pelmets with a faux leather and stud finish to match the sofa and they decided to choose a navy velvet to coordinate with an existing navy velvet chair and cushion.

Julie's love for animals inspired the direction of her search for fabrics from the Voyage Collection where this beautiful vibrant fabric with a subtle deer and fox, forest print was found - "Seneca Forest - Autumn."

Her existing pelmets were altered by her son Jack who has recently taken up woodworking as a hobby (Check out @scottfinewoodworking on Instagram!)

Take a look at the before and after of Julie's lounge curtain and pelmet refresh.

A note from Julie: "Beautifully made curtains!! Thank you Cheryl and Rachel for helping me to choose the fabrics, for the professional advice and for the finished product which I’m absolutely delighted with!! 💙"
